An Dinh palace opens wall paintings for visitors

An Dinh palace has opened for visitors to see the system of wall paintings after the restoration project sponsored by the Federal Republic of Germany.

 

To restore the wall paintings in the palace, Germany provided 17,580 euros and sent experts to Vietnam in the first period of the project; and provided 444,810 euro in the second period.

An Dinh place was built in 1919 during the reign of Khai Dinh king.

On this occasion, the Centre for the Preservation of Hue ancient capital relics also exhibited typical antiques in palaces under Nguyen dynasty, including collections of bronze things, pottery and wooden furniture.

There are also collections of royal clothes, tools in daily palace life, paintings and musical instruments for festivals in the palace under the Nguyen dynasty.
