Can Tho prepares for liberation holiday

The Mekong River Delta city of Can tho is preparing for a festival complete with flower garlands and coloured lanterns at Ninh Kieu Wharf to celebrate Liberation Day on April 30.


The festival will include a motorcycle procession, with a fleet of 200 to 300 motorcycles decorated with lights to ride along Can Tho’s main streets, and a kite flying contest at Phu Sa Tourist Park. The opening ceremony will feature art and music and will take place at the corner of Vo Van Tan and Hai Ba Trung streets.
