More caravan visitors come to Vietnam - Caravan tourism

Ho chi minh city located Viking Tourism and Communication Company received a caravan delegation of seven cars on May 22nd that will tour Northern Vietnam via Tay Trang gate in Dien Bien province.
In nine days, the 30 tourists from Thailand and Malaysia will visit Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Hanoi Quang Ninh, Ninh binh Vinh, and then drive through Cau Treo border gate in Ha Tinh province into Laos.

This is an advance group to prepare for another two caravan groups with more cars (about 20 cars each) which will tour Vietnam in the future.

Apart from tourism, two caravan groups will also market their products and meet with local enterprises to seek business opportunities.

Since the beginning of this year, Viking has invited three foreign caravan groups to come visit Vietnam. The company will receive several other caravan groups in the upcoming months.

Caravan style tourism is a new tourism product and Viking plans to double the number of tourists this year, said Tran Xuan Hung, Viking’s director.

In July or August, Viking is to welcome caravan visitors on a China-Vietnam itinerary.
