To mark the 35th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Malaysia on March 30, Genting-Resort World Bhd Group has co-ordinated with the Vietnamese embassy in Malaysia to organise the “Charming Vietnam” cultural week from April 26 to May 2.
On the
occasion, Malaysian Minister of Unity, Culture, Arts, and Heritage Mos Sapi
highlighted Vietnam’s great achievements over the past 15 years and the
country’s diverse traditional culture.
Vietnamese
Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Tien Tho said that Vietnam and
Malaysia are active members of ASEAN community and have many similarities in
culture. He expressed hope that the cultural week will contribute to promoting
solidarity and friendship between the two countries.
The
Vietnam Cultural Week aims to promote Images of vietnam and its people to
international friends as well as introduce the country’s unique traditional
culture with diverse activities such as art performances, fashion shows of ao
dai (traditional long dress), water puppetry shows, and an exhibition
displaying handicrafts and other cultural activities.
