Circle Painting-Vietnam 2008 programme, a public art-link creation activity, will be first organised in Hanoi on July 20.
This programme, initiated in 1999 by painter Nguyen Cao Hiep, an overseas Vietnamese in the US, has developed in many cities in the US, Australia, Southeast Asian nations and been supported by lots of communities and organisations.
In this activity held at Lenin Park, more than 400 people will join hands in creating a joint art work.
Painter Nguyen Cao Hiep said that the project’s spirit is to give everyone an opportunity to enjoy the pleasure of art creation. “Canvases, colours and brushes are devices that link different people in society to create a painting. Each layout is seen as a breath of harmony, solidarity. The combination of all layouts is a picture of a multi-colour life.”
Along with drawing a common painting, participants will be entertained by other games and activities.
Through the exhibition and work auction, the organising board, including artist Nguyen Cao Hiep, “Vong tay be ban” young volunteer group and SCorp Communication, hope to collect more funds for charity activities.
