A young talent contest for performance artists, who are under 35, was launched by the Danish Embassy in Hanoi on June 4.
The contest is part of the Action Plan of the Vietnamese-Danish Cultural Development and Exchange Fund (CDEF).
Danish ambassador to Vietnam Peter Lysholf Hansen, who is also CDEF chairman, said choosing performance art for the contest has originated from the important role that this kind of art play in cultural activities.
With the inspiration generated from the exchange between the artists and the audience, the contest aims to acknowledge the talented youngsters and also discover out of the ordinary and outstanding works.
The deadline for entries is July 30 and the artists must be under 35 and Vietnamese citizens. Only works that have not been performed before are eligible to enter the contest.
