Cloud Festival opens Culture- Tourism Week in Sa Pa

The “Sapa Tourism Week” kicked off with a festival opened in the mist-shrouder Sapa in northern mountainous Lao cai province on April 30, which also aims to celebrate the 105th anniversary of Sapa tourism service.

The week introduced visitors to folk dances and songs which were performed in the sound of Khen, to the traditional love market of Sa Pa, and to the rich culture of the Vietnam’s north-western highlands.

Visitors were also offered chances to participate in sports and folk games and enjoy traditional dishes.

As part of the Tourism and Culture Week, a photo and painting exhibition themed “The Colour of the Highland” had earlier opened at the Sapa tourism Information Centre.
