Da Nang plans to open direct air route to Japan

The Representative Office of the People’s Committee of central Da nang province in Tokyo has submitted a scheme to open a direct Air route from Da Nang to Japan to Vietnam’s Government and Ministry of Transport for approval.

Statistics show that in the year 2007, Vietnam welcomed over 411,000 Japanese visitors. 7% of them went to the central region and over 88,000 others to world cultural heritages such as Hoi an My Son, Hue and Phong Nha.

The increasing number of Japanese visitors coming to the central region and opportunities for investment in the areas have urged the opening of a Da Nang-Japan direct Air route.
