Ha Long Bay

 

Speaking at the seminar, a representative from the Heritage Department said that Ha long bay was recognized as twice as the natural heritage and it is a safe tourism destination, thus more trademarks are necessary.

Mr. Do Quy Doan, Deputy Minister of Information and Communication affirmed that the contest is an opportunity to promote Vietnam’s image to foreign friends. However, the promotion campaign needed to be well implemented basically to avoid repetition of recent mistakes.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Quan, Deputy Chairman of Quang Ninh provincial People’s Committee said that since the contest began the preservation of Ha Long Bay has been well performed.

Moreover, the province is asking permission from the Government to establish a national steering committee to implement a comprehensive campaign to nominate for Ha Long Bay as one of 21 heritages of the New Open World in 2009.
