Thang Long- Hanoi Craft Village & Craft Street Tourism Week opens

The Thang Long- Hanoi Craft Village & Craft Street Tourism Week was opened on April 29 in Hanoi Citadel, 12 Nguyen Tri Phuong street.
The event, which was organised by the Association of Vietnam Craft Villages, was to welcome the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long – Hanoi to mark the 33rd reunification anniversary April 30th, as well as the Labour Day.

Nineteen traditional craft villages and 14 guilds taking part in the week come from Hanoi, Hue Hoi an Ha tay Ninh binh and Bac ninh provinces.
As part of the week, a proceeding to celebrate the ancestors of the Bat Trang ceramic village, Doi Tam drum making village, Dao Thuc and Hoi Chan Tam water puppet villages will be held within the framework of the “Thang Long Pride – Thousands of Flames” festival at the Kinh Thien Court Yard.

There will also be traditional art performances, culinary fair and folk games during the week, which will close on May 4, 2008.
