Legend, Rex hotels offer special room rates

The five-star Legend Saigon hotel in downtown HCMC is offering tariff discounts for deluxe and executive deluxe rooms from now until this August 31.

The tariff for deluxe rooms is down from US$280 to US$179. Such rooms can be upgraded to executive deluxe if guests pay an extra US$35. The normal price of an executive deluxe room is US$350.

The hotel also offers other promotions for these kinds of rooms.

Do Thi Bao Tram, the hotel's marketing communication manager, said Legend last month started a month-long promotion aimed at increasing occupancy in the low season.

Given the success of the program, the hotel has decided to extend it until this August. "With the program in place, we've increased our occupancy this June by 10 percentage points. It's a good result in the low season," she said. Occupancy at the 283-room hotel reaches 65%.

Another hotel in town, the Rex, has announced a promotion for a new luxury area. The hotel is offering a discount of 30% to guests who book rooms in the new area via the website at www.rexhotelvietnam.com

The program runs from early this month to September 30.

Normally the rate for the normal floor is US$200++ per premium room, and US$240 per governor suite. With the executive floor, the premium room costs US$250, the governor suite room US$290, and the presidential suite US$510.

The rate is for single rooms, and applies to the guests who make reservations via the hotel's website.
