Antiques museum reopens in Hue
The Hue Historical Relic Preservation Center has reopened the Hue Royal Fine Arts Museum located in Hue one month after the museum was relocated to An Dinh Palace from Long An Palace.
The museum, located at 150 Nguyen Hue Street, displays over 10,800 items, including 150-year-old glass paintings, musical instruments, royal dresses, ceramics and utensils.
Long An Palace, built in 1845, had housed the Hue Royal Fine Arts Museum - formerly known as the Khai Dinh Museum - starting in 1923. It will soon be renovated.
An Dinh Palace, constructed in 1918, features exquisite wall and ceiling paintings that were recently restored by German experts and was reopened to the public late last month.
