An overcoat and a dress made of the bark of the “gio bau” tree (aquilaria) have been found in the house of Mr. A Xe of the Xe Dang ethnic minority group in Mang Canh village, Kon Plong District, in the Central Highlands Province of Kon Tum.
The dress was decorated with a beautiful selvedge.
The Kon Plong Office of Culture, Sports and Tourism said the coat might be hundreds years old.
The finding of such a coat and dress was conducted under a fact-finding mission to collect the traditional costumes of local ethnic minority groups undertaken by the Kon Plong Office of Culture, Sports and Tourism in conjunction with the provincial General Museum.
