Three ancient pagodas in the northern province of Ha tay including Xuyen Duong, Bach Nao and Hoang Trung, have been recognized as national cultural historical relic sites by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for their specific values of architecture, history and culture.
A folk religious architectural relic, Xuyen Duong pagoda was
built in the 13th century. It is famous for its traditional Buddhist
architecture such as terra-cotta towers, worshipping statues, and
sculptures.
26 statues of Buddha from the 17th to 20th centuries have been kept in Bach Nao pagoda.
32 wooden and clay statues and a special bronze bell have been preserved at Hoang Trung pagoda.
Ha Tay province is well-known for its pagodas which have
special cultural and historical values recognized as national
historical and cultural relic sites such as Huong, Tay Phuong, Thay and
Tram pagodas.
Each year, these spiritual tourist sites welcome more than 1 million domestic and foreign visitors.
