The licensing of the project to build Ho Na-Van Phong extra-class tourist resort was given on April 11 by the managing board of Van Phong economic zone to Ho chi minh City-based joint stock company M&C.
The project will occupy an area of 150 ha in Ho Na, east of Hon Gom island, the eastern most point of the Vietnamese territory.
The
resort is expected to be a tourist complex with sports, entertainment
facilities and space, trade and services centre, hotels.
The
project with the total investment of US $83 million will be divided
into 2 phases. The first phase with US $25 million will be completed
and put in operation by 2010, while the second phase is expected to be
accomplished by 2013.
This is the second largest tourist investment project in Van Phong in 2008.
Earlier,
the largest ever project to build an eco-tourist sea resort named Hon
Ngang-Bai Cat Tham has been granted a license. The project with an
investment of VND 37 billion is being realised in an area of 295 ha.
