Foreign students celebrate traditional festival Vietnam

The atmosphere at Vinh University in Nghe An province seems to be warmer with the preparation for the traditional festival of Thai and Laotian students.

Over the 5 past years, the university has enrolled 500 foreign students and many of them enjoy their traditional festivals in Vietnam.

This year, the university has launched various activities for international students to celebrate their traditional festival.

Leng Lo, a senior student in the business management board, said: “This is the fifth time I have celebrated my traditional festival in Vietnam.” The student from Xieng Khong province, Laos, fell in love with a Vietnamese girl right in the first school year. The couple plans to organise a wedding at the end of this year.

Nunalin, another Laotian student at the university who has been granted many awards for her outstanding studies and activities, said “I am very happy to enjoy the festival although this is the first time.”

She added that her father and younger sister would study at the university next year.
