Local airlines collect fuel surcharges as of August 15 - Vietnam Airlines

As of August 15, Vietnam airlines Jetstar Pacific and Vasco will apply fuel surcharges from VND50,000-VND180,000 ($3.1-11.2) per one-way ticket for local flights.


 

The lowest surcharge that passengers will have to pay, for the Hcm cityCan tho Hanoi – Na San, Phu quoc – Rach Gia, Da nang – Dong Hoi flights of Vietnam airlines will be VND50,000.

 

Depending on flights, airlines will set different fuel surcharges, but the highest level will be for the Hanoi – HCM City route (VND180,000). The above surcharges include value added tax.

 

Jetstar Pacific will collect a fuel surcharge of VND90,000/ticket for the Hcm cityCam ranh route, VND110,000 for the HCM City – Da Nang and Hanoi – Da Nang routes. The highest surcharge of VND180,000 is applied for the five remaining routes of Jetstar Airlines.

 

However, passengers who booked tickets before August 15 will not have to pay fuel surcharges.

 

Vasco also announced it will collect fuel surcharges from VND90,000-VND110,000 on four local air routes, HCM City to Tuy Hoa, Con Dao, Ca Mau and Chu Lai as of mid-August.

 

The fuel surcharges were approved by the Finance Ministry on August 8.

 

Vietnam Airlines said it will continue following the fluctuation of gas prices in the international market to adjust its fuel surcharges.
