Unilever Vietnam yesterday opened a five-star professional kitchen that aims to Train chefs and aspiring gourmands.
The kitchen, which costs VND5bil

Vietnam's Food Solutions.
Open to chefs, caterers, restaurants
owners and hotel industry providers, the kitchen is expected to be a training
ground for future cooks and an experimental setting for experienced chefs. It
will also be the setting for future culinary competitions, according to
Unilever.
"We hope the kitchen will reach
professional chefs across the country so we can provide the best and most
convenient cooking solutions that will contribute to a more diverse Vietnamese
cuisine," said Pham Hai Van, general director of Unilever Vietnam Food
Solutions.
Marijin Van Tiggelen, chairman of Unilever

the local food market and that the kitchen was the first move in that
effort.
"We care not only about the local
residents' needs for fast-moving consumer goods, but also for hotels and
restaurants where gourmets hang around to enjoy the art of drinking and eating,"
he said.
"We expect the kitchen will become a
rendezvous for Vietnamese chefs and their foreign counterparts to meet and
exchange experiences," Marijin added.
