Vietnam Week in Japan will be held in the middle of this month. This is one of the biggest event on Vietnam held in Japan to celebrate the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan.
The Vietnam Week in Japan includes five main events, including Vietnam – Japan economic co-operation forum; photo exhibition on land and people of Vietnam; Vietnamese-Japanese cultural night; Vietnam Festival 2008 and the tourism forum.
The Vietnam – Japan economic co-operation forum will be held from September 17-19 in Osaka, Nagoya and Tokyo. The forum will have the attendance of around 100 businessmen from Vietnam and 200-300 businessmen from Japan who will discuss trade promotion, investment, trade and tourism.
A photo exhibition on land and people of Vietnam with theme “Vietnamese Cultural Heritage” will be organised in two days, September 16 and 19 in Tokyo.
The Vietnam – Japan cultural night which will take place on September 16 and 19, in Tokyo will feature national arts of two countries.
The key event is the Vietnam Week in Japan which will last from September 19 to 21 in Yoyogi park, Tokyo. Three stands at the event will introduce the land and people of Vietnam, the food and drink culture and traditional handicrafts of Vietnam.
During a press conference held this morning, Dr Doan Thi Kim Hong, a member of the organising board said that this is a good chance for the two countries to boost bilateral co-operation in economics as well as cultural exchange.
