Low-Cost Airlines Cut Fares in Big Promotion - Vietnam low-cost airline

Jetstar Pacific Airlines is offering 10,000 one-way tickets at a price of VND15,000 (US$1) on domestic flights booked from August 8 to October 25 throughout the country.
The promotional fare excludes tax, fuel surcharges and extras and applies only to passengers carrying a bag of 7kg or less. The tickets will be on sale on the Web site www.jestar.com until 9 p.m. today.

Passengers can pay by credit card issued by Visa, MasterCard, JCB or American Express.

The low-cost airline, formerly known as Pacific Airlines was renamed Jetstar Pacific on May 2008, to become part of the Jetstar LCC network operated by its shareholder Qantas.

In addition, Malaysia Airlines will give out 1 million free tickets on international flights booked between May 26 and June 3 from Southeast Asian countries and China to Malaysia.

This promotion includes 1,000 free tickets for the Ho chi minh city to Kuala Lumpur route. There are also 691 tickets available for US$39 for the Ha noi to Kuala Lumpur route. These rates don’t include taxes, fuel surcharges and extras.

Regular priced ticket go for US$205 for a one-way ticket from Ho Chi Minh City to Kuala Lumpur and US$95 for a Ha Noi to Kuala Lumpur flight on weekdays. The cost of taxes is US$65.
