Introducing Vietnamese plays in English to foreigners

Meritorious Artist Hong Van, director of Phu Nhuan Stage in Ho chi minh city is planning to introduce Vietnamese plays in English to foreigners.

The plots are mainly based on folk topics depicting Vietnamese customs and habits in different parts of the country. Each 20-30-minute-long play is designed to help foreigners living in Vietnam understand more about its society and people.

The first two plays to go on stage are known as “Person or horse” and “A basket”.

According to Ms Hong Van, Ho Chi Minh City’s Culture and Information Department is working with Saigontourist Company to work with Phu Nhuan Theatre for the activity.
