85% of tourists who have booked tours at Vietravel Tourism Company for the holidays of April 30 and May 1 will travel abroad.

 

According to tourism agencies in Ho Chi Minh City, as of April 14, the number of registered tourists increased sharply.

Vietravel alone has 50 inbound and outbound tours. Each tour lasts from two to ten days. Tours to Australia and the US have been fully registered. Vietravel is expected to serve nearly 6,000 tourists during this year’s holidays of April 30 and May 1, an increase of 30% compared to last year.

Whileas, Saigontourist Travel Service Company is organising domestic and international tours for more than 10,000 visitors. As reported, tourists travelling abroad have increased by 30% in comparison with those of last year.

Favourite destinations are ASEAN countries, China, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Hongkong (China). Notably, more tourists are keen on touring Thailand.

The increase of travelling costs by between 20 to 25% does not affect the number of tourists of Saigontourist

* On April 15, Saigontourist received 3,200 international tourists and crew brought by five-star SuperStar Virgo, for the first time, to Halong Bay, the UNESCO World Heritage. The event kicked off every Tuesday sea route to Halong Bay from April 15 to October 22 with 28 journeys.
