Miss Universe contestants’ names written on lanterns - travelling by cyclo

The names of 81 candidates in the ongoing Miss Universe Pageant have been written on 700 colourful lanterns that are hung along Tran Phu street, Hoi an city said Vo Phung, director of the Hoi An Culture and Sports Centre.

This is part of an exchange between local people and Miss Universe contestants from June 25 to 26 in Hoi an ancient town.

During the programme, other activities such as Ao dai presentation at Cau Pagoda and travelling by cyclo will be held.

In the past few days, the city’s authorities and organisers have made preparations for the event.

The programme is expected to attract numerous domestic and foreign visitors.
