Ha Long Bay

A record of over 10,000 tourists, 80 percent of them are foreigners, visit Ha long bay during these holidays. The sharp increase was attributed to the daily resumption of sea routes to Ha Long Bay from China, including Beihai-Ha Long and the Hainan-Ha Long links. Furthermore, the route from Hong Kong to Ha Long, was conducted weekly.
Lotus a cruise ship that operates regularly between Hcm city and Ha long bay berthed at the Hon Gai International Passenger Port in Ha Long for the first time last Sunday.
Classical music and fashion shows was held during the 2008 Ha Long Tourism Festival at Thien Cung – Dau Go cave in the heart of Ha long bay on April 27 for the benefit of the great number of visitors the festival is expected to attract.
The number of tourists to Ha long bay increased 60 percent in the first quarter of 2008, said the Support Committee for Ha Long Bay in a seminar in Quang Ninh Province on April 23 to disseminate information on voting for Ha Long Bay as natural wonder of the world.
