Fifteen years since Hue city won global recognition as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the city’s internationally-renowned annual festival has been getting bigger and better. This year’s celebration, already in full swing, is no exception.
A special concert by Italian musician Davide Mancini on June 13 at the French Cultural Centre, 24 Trang Tien, Hanoi will close the Italian Cultural Season in Vietnam entitled “Women, the Passion”.
The Hue Festival 2008 in central Thua Thien-Hue province by June 7 had welcome close to 56,000 visitors, including 13,200 foreigners.

A series of art performances marked the opening ceremony of the nine-day Hue Festival at Ngo Mon (Noon Gate) Square last night.
