11/8/2011: Starting for sale Air Ticket on Tet Holiday
From 11 August 2011, Vietnam Airlines (VNA) sold the tickets for 2012 Tet Holiday on domestic flights.
On the flight from HCMC to Hanoi / Da Nang, Vietnam Airlines will sale 100% all flights before 13 January 2012 (on the 20th of Tet Holiday) and after 7 February 2012 (on 16 January). During the high season from 13 January to 7 February, VNA will sale 50% .

On the flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Vinh / Hai Phong / Hue / Quy Nhon / Buon Ma Thuat / Pleiku / Dong Hoi and Hanoi - Tho / Dien Bien, Vietnam Airlines will sale 100% on all flights before the 13 January and after 31 January (9 January ).
To serve all demands of transportation for visitors and compliment all policies to sale following the routes basing on demand of market, VNA will increase air tickets on the occasion of Tet Holiday ( from15 December to 15 January). Vietnam Airline will sell more on October, November, December 2012 and the beginning of January 2012.

10/8/2011: Vietnam Airlines launches Autumn promotion program From 8 August, Vietnam Airlines will officially launch its program called “Autumn promotion 2011” with the special price reduction for all of the international air routes and some of the domestic ones According to that, return tickets on Southeast Asian and European flights will cost between VND 1.2 million (US$ 59) and VND 10.3 million (US$ 499), respectively. One-way ticket on the national routes between Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh city - Da Nang is at prices of 555.000 VND, Ho Chi Minh city - Hanoi/Vinh/Hai Phong is 999.000 VND. The program is only applied for retail customers in Vietnam, who buy tickets from August 15th to August 1st , with departures from September 15th to December 15th, and from March 1st, 2012 to May 31st, 2012 (excluding peak time and holidays). “Autumn promotion 2011” is one of the big annual programsof Vietnam Airlines. 04/08/2011: Japanese tourists will return Vietnam soon

The tourism agents will combine with Vietnam Airlines to implement some promotional programs in Japan, especially some cities in which Vietnam Airlines has flights. Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) said that Japanese tourists will return Vietnam soon.
Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan, General Director of VNAT, said to Online Saigon Economic Magazine that Vietnam Airlines met a number of organizations as well as tourism agents with from 24 to 28 July
On this trip, VNAT has proposed with Japan to support Vietnam in the list of priority destinations for Japanese tourists and also discuss about issues of cooperation with Vietnam Airlines in promotional program.
"We have given the cooperation to implement further promotion programs in the Japanese market in the next time," he said.
Besides some general promotion, it is estimated that some tour packages for Japanese tourists will be introduced in the next time. The Vietnam tourism industry can develop feasibly and optimistically in Japanese market. Although in recent time a number of Japanese visitors going on flights of Vietnam Airlines have reduced, the total numbers of visitors in the whole country has still increased and we also received some positive feedback from partners

Vietnam Airlines has the promotion discount up to 35% for Vietnamese students come to Europe Countries to study.

31/07/2011:Vietnam Airlines increases 8 flights
The representative of Vietnam Airlines – Mr Le Hoang Dung said all of passengers affected by canceled flights will be arranged to take flights today (on 31 July).
Besides the daily flights, on 31 July, Vietnam Airline will increase more eight flights, including six flights (Round Trip) from Da Lat, two flights for international routes from Hanoi to Luang Phrabang.
Vietnam Airlines will also support the procedures related to the reservation, cancel or change tickets to passengers on flights affected by the storm.
According to Vietnam Airlines, because of the storm on 30 July they had canceled 30 flights.
In particular, Vietnam Airline canceled 26 flights on domestic flights including eight flights (round trip) from Hai Phong, 10 flights (round trip) from Dalat and 8 flights (round trip) from Vinh.
Four international flights were also canceled including flight from Siem Reap and Luang Phrabang and vice versa
30/07/2011: 6 flights from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City to Vinh and return flight of the Vietnam Airlines will cancel on 30 July. The flight schedules of some other routes from the south to Hanoi and Hai Phong will be longer than the usual 15-20 minutes. Vietnam Airlines confirms that flight schedules will still occur normally until 18:00 on 29 July and there are no delayed or cancelled flights by Nock-ten.
However, on 30 July, there are six flights from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City to Vinh and return flight which must be canceled. Other flights from the south to Hanoi and Haiphong will be longer than 15-20 minutes due to adjust the route so as to avoid storms.
Vietnam Airlines said the airline is probably to cancel on 30 July including VN1711, VN1713 (from Hanoi to Vinh), VN1710 and VN1712 from Vinh to Hanoi; VN1266 from Ho Chi Minh City to Vinh and VN1267 flights from Vinh to TP HCM.
